JITTERS AND JAGS The White House is nervous about Patrick Fitzgerald and the Plame grand jury [story]
Jittery Bush aides gnawed their nails yesterday as a special prosecutor zeroed in on White House political guru Karl Rove's role in blowing a CIA agent's cover.
THE HERETIK NOTES the White House is not alone. Who isn’t ready for this “Fitzmas” to be “over?” And then it really just starts. Oy. Shakespeare’s Sister asked The Heretik three weeks ago when we would see indictments. And the answer was October 28, the last day of the grand jury’s term. The feeling was and is Fitzgerald would use every “last minute” (and then the minute after that) to get as much as he could out of the process. Yesterday The Heretik jumped on the bandwagon of those jumping for something, anything, to happen. Like now, dude.

"There's a lot of speculation going around," McClellan said in his White House briefing yesterday. "And I think there are a lot of facts that are not known at this point."
THE HERETIK KNOWS ONCE Fitzgerald is done some people will be wishing things had remained banal, Scott McLellan among them.ALSO RECOMMENDED

CHRIS MATTHEWS: You think they’re sealed right now?
MIKE ALLEN: Very possible. What I’m told is typically, in a case like this, he could get the indictments and now he can go to the targets and say, you can plead to these or I’ll go back Friday and get more. You have 12 to 24 hours to think about it.
THE HERETIK DECLARES all speculation will now end. Until it begins again.BREAKING NEWS is no news for now [Reuters] "There are no announcements expected today," said Randall Samborn, Fitzgerald's spokesman.
THE HERETIK SEES speculation starting up again, as those who speculate continuing speculating on others who speculate. The speculation is the speculation cannot be stopped, even after Fitzgerald does. Oy.

I'm fricken' frothing at the mouth for this to be over/just begun. It's like pulling the plug on your tub, and the waters making noise like it's draining, but its still got the same amount of water in there.
