MONDAY NIGHTS mean movies at this fall at Lefty’s Lounge and some new features from some blogs out there. First the featured blogs: Bag News is a regular read. . . . This kid said he was gone, but Beatrice Von Blogowitz thinks he just moved. And then he got a second place. I don’t know. . . . Maybe Churchill was a Henry Rollins fan. . . . Matt doesn’t enjoy the silence . . . . Leave a link and have a drink.
AND NOW A BIT about movies or films. The Heretik saw Stay yesterday with Naomi Watts and Ewan Macgregor. They were on the screen, I was in my seat next to my daughter who was next to her boyfriend. I stayed in my seat to find out what was happening. It starts with a car crash. The Brooklyn Bridge co-stars. Really. Uneven. Not a feel good date movie of the summer. Ryan Gosling from The Notebook is in it, so my daughter didn't care. . . . clicking through the channels last night I fell into the beginning of Platoon. Forgot Johnny Depp was in that one. Samuel Barber’s Adagio is the theme music in and out of the jungle scenes and the violence. Adagio got lifted as dirge for all the early September Eleventh mournful moments. Adagio pains me and lifts me at the same time.
WHAT FILMS or movies strike you most lately? What movie theme?
DO LEAVE A LINK and have a drink. Comment until you need more popcorn. The Heretik and Betty Blogger welcome you.
Oh heck ya, H. Churchill was a big Rollins fan, along with T.E. Lawrence and Cindy Crawford in drag. A youthful Woody Allen was in there for awhile too, but he didn't work out. Too wimpy. Not tough enough for 'Suicida'.

Thanks for the links, H.
Before we get to the movies -- bad news: Rosa Parks is dead

What's a movie? My head is still spinning about Rosa Parks, but when was the last time anybody saw Dick Cheney anywhere?
I came over to see what you had written in your American Gothic section after I was reminded by this:

I hope you enjoyed the laugh as much as I did.
