AS THE WIFE OF THE PRESIDENT AND THE MOTHER OF TWO ACTIVE DAUGHTERS  I have a special view on how some are politicizing this mess caused by Hurricane Katrina.  Right now Katrina is like the other woman in the White House. 

HAVE YOU HEARD PLANNED PARENTHOOD has asked for assistance for victims and been MOCKED for that?  Planned Parenthood seems to think some people just go on about their lives in times of disaster doing the things they always do.  Some people go on about their lives a lot more than others, sometimes two or three times a day.  Stress takes away from some people what they most used to enjoy. Look at me and learn.

AS MY MAMA USED TO SAY when times get tough, some people screw like rabbits, others just go rabid. But there are no rabid rabbits.

Um, Planned Parenthood's mission is to help people plan parenthood even in the face of unplanned events like hurricanes. The concept that basic human needs and the expression of affection take a holiday in disaster is unnatural. The idea that an organization would not want fulfill its mission when it is hard work would not honor those who troop in search of some dignity in life.

Some things like responses to natural disasters can be planned for. Planning in all things is good.
