There are so many great characters to choose from. There's the sharp dancer from the Fatboy Slim video, the psycho who wants to veer his car into oncoming traffic, and the producer from the SNL sketch about "more cowbell". And, I can't forget his role in Pulp Fiction about the special watch.

In all honesty, Walken sounds more promising than any other political characters whose names have been floating around for 2008.

The site is a hoax. I spoke to Maura Buxbaum at ID PR, Walken's publicist. She said that Walken "has no aspirations for public office."

Nevertheless, I'm digging the Walken/Heretik '08 ticket.

I think it would be cool to have the Continental Man as president.

Well, we saw what a third rate B actor could do in the White House. Bedtime for Bonzo's Ronald Reagan, who personified in his acting career (not to mention his presidency) everything the Conservatives represent, lots of flash and show with no real ability and no depth.

In this regard Christopher Walken is the complete antithesis of Reagan. It would be nice to see what somebody who can really act would do in the White House.
