Night Bird

Heretik, that is a really nice poem. It is shame that we have this

Hey sweetie.

Today in the San Antonio catbox liner, someone wrote a lovely letter to the editor saying that Ms. Sheehan has no gripes because her child joined the military, knowing what it could mean. So she needs to just shut up and accept that kids die when they join the military.

Don't think this guy knew a point was out there because it was coming out of his head...

Cindy's daughter Carly wrote this

Have you ever heard the sound of a mother screaming for her son?
The torrential rains of a mother's weeping will never be done.
They call him a hero, you should be glad he's one, but,
Have you ever heard the sound of a mother screaming for her son?

Have you ever heard the sound of a father holding back his cries?
They say he must be brave because his boy died for another mans lies.
The only thing he allows himself are long, deep sighs.
Have you ever heard the sound of a father holding back his cries?

Have you ever heard the sound of taps played at your brother's grave?
They say he died so the flag will continue to wave,
But I believe he died because they had oil to save.
Have you ever heard the sound of taps played at your brother's grave?

Have you ever heard the sound of a Nation Rocked to Sleep?
The leaders want to keep you numb so the pain won't be so deep,
But if we the people let them continue, another mother will weep.
Have you ever heard the sound of a Nation Rocked to Sleep?

Thanks for the mention of my humble little blog Joe.

While Cindy was talking to Randi Rhodes yesterday,President Doofus took off for somewhere in a helicopter.Which I imagine will be his main mode of transportation now so he won't even have to drive by the protest site.Yes,if we don't look at something it's just not there now,is it?

I heart Cindy Sheehan. You just can't mess with a Mom who's lost a kid,big freaking mistake.I admire her calmness in the midst of this madness,I'm not sure I could do that.
