A crazy week and a Fourth of July Weekend ahead, then more fireworks sure to go off on Tuesday. Betty Blogger and The Heretik welcome you. More festivities to follow . . . .
Uncle Sam and Liberty Belle will be pouring for all who let free comments flow. White sharks, great and otherwise, are swimming in the the Bay of Confusion. Welcome.
Amaretto on the rocks. Hold the rocks. And keep it coming. I've got a lot of sorrows to drown tonight!

I'll take a Belfast Car Bomb and keep 'em coming because I am crying in my drinks tonight!

The Heretik is here to serve drinks and to serve kind words as well. So a Bomb for the Barn girl and the drink of love for sister. . . and never give up. We must remember where we have been and what has yet to be done.

If I think about that now, I'll collapse from fatigue. Let's just pretend we live on the moon tonight.

I'll take an Irish coffee. Miles to go (in my own mind) before I sleep ...
What's a "Belfast Car Bomb"??

Tres yummy! You take a not full pint of Guinness and drop a shot of Bailey's Irish creme into it and drink it fast! Very help ful in these stressful times!

Oh, man! Sounds good to me ...

The moon is a wondrous place with a wondrous light. RJ, good to see you. Met Catherine? Know sister already. Don't forget where we were yesterday.
Posted by: The Heretik | July 01, 2005 at 05:48 PM
After today's news, I'll be taking a few tequila shots.

Reminds me ... I did some recording once with a member of the Northern Irish punk band Stiff Little Fingers. Remember the song "Suspect Device" by any chance?

Catherine and I have not had the pleasure. Pleased to meet you!
Posted by: RJ Eskow | July 01, 2005 at 05:50 PM
Hi, Amanda. I'll match you shot for shot under we're under the table. Deal?

Don't go up to the press pool on the roof.

Hi, Amanda. We exchanged emails once -- I think about your blogathon! And something The Heretik himself had written ...
Posted by: RJ Eskow | July 01, 2005 at 05:53 PM
RJ, damn glad to meet you. I don't know the song referenced above. I am in for the tequlia shots, too.
Posted by: Catherine | July 01, 2005 at 05:54 PM
Shots sound good to me. It's a long weekend, after all ...
Posted by: RJ Eskow | July 01, 2005 at 05:55 PM
Hi, J. Pinot Noir sounds lovely, but I'm already drinking amaretto straight from the bottle and engaging in dueling tequila shots with Amanda, so I guess I'd better slow down if I want to last the night.

Pacing is key. And hi, Ms. Juliene. So tomorrow is another day. But tequila on Betty tonight.

(For the movie nuts among us, I've got another edition of Friday Night Name That Movie up. Teenage Angst Edition.)

I'll stick with tequila then. Save the amaretto for a celebration.
If we ever have anything to celebrate.
Posted by: Shakespeare's Sister | July 01, 2005 at 05:59 PM
Well the tequila won't actually be on me, unless you would prefer it that way. Heretik thinks the Supreme thing needs a swarm every day. Just like Downihg Street. He is going to the cloning machine right now.

Hi J, that sounds too highbrow for me for tonight at least. Welcome!
Posted by: Catherine | July 01, 2005 at 06:00 PM
This kind of neat. Thanx for the invite Catherine. I soooo need a drink of something, but will settle for a simple of Guinness right about now.

Maybe it's just my mood at the moment, but I'm not sure I see a way to influence the SCOTUS decision very much. Aside from begging our Senators and Reps not to crumble like a stale cookie the moment some wingnut is presented for their approval.
