The Alchemist

If I may dust of an old but much loved analogy, the wounded, cornered beast is at his most dangerous. Similarly, faith, that ancient beast, is now all but dead, and we see it's last claw swipes. Dangerous indeed, but if we hang on ten, maybe twenty-five years, we will see it die.

Google "Robert Parsons A Call for Reformation and Revival" the Farmer discusses it at Corrente and I touch on it as well. Of particular interest is the quote at the end from The American Covenant. The reformers have no room in their agenda for compromise or tolerance. It is "Their Way or No Way". They are absolutely intent on making their corrupt interpretation of Bible the law.

Isn't that where the seeds of their destruction lie? Remember - they're a front for the corpo-fascists who run the country, who don't let anything get in the way of their own domination plans and the bottom line.

I love that your post falls under the archival category of "Faith and Doubt."

That pretty much says it all about what separates fumdantalists of all stripes from all the other people of faith who exist in the world, those people, both religious and secular, who view both faith and belief less as entities than as processes which contain their opposites. Or is that just to Zen/Buddhist to fly? I think our founding father-guys, children of the englightment all, would understand.

Please, Heretik, slow down; everyday I intend to link to you only to find you've got so much stuff going here, I'm swamped by excellence, unable to choose.

I'm now off to try again.

I hope that they're sowing the seeds of their own destruction, but I'll stay alert to opportunities to undercut their message - to help them along their way. I love the Reunion Tour image - ridicule is the best way to attack this sort of hate.
