FOLLOWING GEORGE BUSH’S TUMBLE in the polls and Harry Reid pulling the Democrats out of a burning building, White  House stunt man succeeded in turning the entire world upside down.  Or maybe it was who is to blame for Iraq. [story]

"If Democrats want to talk about the threat that Saddam Hussein posed and the intelligence, they might want to start with looking at the previous administration and their own statements that they've made," White House press secretary Scott McClellan said.

He said the Clinton administration and fellow Democrats "used the intelligence to come to the same conclusion that Saddam Hussein and his regime were a threat."

SCOTT McLELLAN KNOWS Iraq and everthing else wrong in the world have only one cause:  Bill Clinton.  At some point a “reporter” listening to this should just start laughing.  And not stop.  White House gaggle transcript at Think Progress.

Senator Harry Reid, the minority leader, may have been grandstanding yesterday when he forced the Senate to hold a closed session on the Iraqi intelligence, but at least he gave the issue a much-needed push.

THE HERETIK MAY BE grandstanding here, but he cannot grandstand it anymore.  When the press says may, they let whoever may have done something get away with it.  As the Time may have when it engages in maybe, maybe not evenhanded coverage where one side of a story is so obviously lying.

THE HERETIK NOTES Clinton had similar agency intelligence, but it was Bush who cakewalked to first base in Baghdad who seems to be having a hard time knocking our soldiers home for good with a win on The Mission, the noble cause where it now looks like we were ignobly gamed.
