LOOK FOR THINGS TO GET EVEN STRANGER around the White House. [story] Cheney's spokesman has left for Iraq and Cheney is still here. Since Cheney has previously spoken for Iraq and his spokesman is in Iraq, who is the spokesman supposed to be speaking for and will he be phoning it in?
HOW STRANGE IS IT? Sukabi at All Spin Zone thinks Cheney may be suffering some remorse. Talk Left suspects Dick and Bubble Boy George may have had a falling out. Attywood seconds that emotion.

NOT STRANGE [Murray Waas] In two appearances before the federal grand jury investigating the leak of a covert CIA operative's name, Lewis (Scooter) Libby, the chief of staff to Vice President Cheney, did not disclose a crucial conversation that he had with New York Times reporter Judith Miller in June 2003 about the operative, Valerie Plame, according to sources with firsthand knowledge of his sworn testimony.

Ha! I don't really think he's grown a conscience, but I do think he's stuffing all that Halliburton windfall into an unmarked Swiss bank account and warming up AF2 to make a quick exit.

It would be kinda interesting if they slipped Cheney out 'ala Agnew and slipped someone else in. But who would that person be? Rice?
