IF KARL ROVE COOPERATED FULLY in the Plame investigation before, in cooperating even more fully now is he fully aware of how that looks? [story] Rove's lawyer is busy spinning the tale for the rat with the biggest tail (or is that tale?) in announcing Rove has not received a target letter.  Not yet.

"The prosecutor has affirmed that he has made no charging decision," Luskin said.

Luskin said Rove offered to testify again after the grand jury heard testimony from Time magazine reporter Matt Cooper in July. "Karl's consistent position is that he will cooperate any time, any place," Luskin said. [WaPo]

ANY TIME, ANY PLACE?  Rove's place might soon be jail.  Nice to see the previously uncooperative Rove so helpful now. Listen for the splash as the biggest rat  jumps ship.

New York University law professor Stephen Gillers, is quoted as saying, "that this is "an ominous sign" for Rove:

"It suggest Fitzgerald has learned new information that is tightening the noose," Gillers said. "It shows Fitzgerald now, perhaps after Miller's testimony, suspects Rove may be in some way implicated in the revelation of Plame's identity or that Fitzgerald is investigating various people for obstruction of justice, false statements or perjury."
