SITE OF THE NIGHT: [COTURNIX]

when i try to remember that life is not lived on the edge but in between the everyday, boring, expected... to realize that and be happy is genius, to not is natural and maddening

Hey folks, Mimosa for me, please.
Links for ya!
Labor Day fun for the Phelps clan. "WBC to picket filthy faggot mayor of the sodomite whorehouse masquerading as Duluth, Minn., at their so-called Duluth-Superior GLBTQAI Pride Festival, and the leper colonies calling themselves churches in Duluth - Sept. 3 and 4."
'Ex-gay' roadshow Love Won Out coming to Birmingham. Three cheers for the "Birmingham-area homosexual activists" coming out to face the life-destroying nightcrawlers of James Dobson's Love Won Out, which plans to invade Birmingham, AL to scoop up some converts.
The other Crazy Pat calls for the Chimp's impeachment. Crazy Pat Buchanan wants the Chimperor impeached over his immigration policy.

tk's blue plate special please... and two fingers of that fine Woodford Reserve bourbon, neat. That oughta do it.
Is it old news that Bolton visited Miller in prison? If so, I missed it in every hurricane-addicted media outlet.

JLo:
Before the hurricane (the storm, not the drink) coverage, the outlets were still too busy covering Aruba(especially Faux News, which wouldn't even cover an amber alert on a 12-year old girl who's with a registered sex offender despite being asked nicely. . .the girl's even a blonde, but I guess she's not affluent enough for a Republican to care).

...and while I'm whoring WhirledView, a blog I love, please allow me to pimp this post of my own examining an aspect of political retribution that gets little attention, probably because of the long lag until the effects are apparent. You won't see this on the news, and it might someday become difficult to pinpoint when the decline began.

That's messed up. I was curious after Latoyia to see whether the groundswell of support for alternate missing persons coverage might lead to some nascent network of digital milk cartons. Alas, it seems most of the missing have faded against the backdrop of foul weather and foiled presidential holidays. It's still the best example of blog activism I've seen to date, though.

Thanks for the pickup, Heretik! Crazy Pat sends an air kiss.

The Home of Blue Plate Philosophy Also where The Heretik drains coffee straight out of the machine most mornings while writing in his journal. . . . which ends up . . . here.

We're actually working on just that at Philly Future and I think most of us have joined Taz & Piggy's Missing Monday campaign too.

Hi Everyone!
Sorry for being absent from the recent drinkfests and weekend barbecues, H -- I had a friend visiting from out of town.
JLo, we are still working on the missing persons network...but with people donating bits of free time here and there, it's going to take a while. it will happen, though.
Here's my link of the night.

Kiss, kiss, Heretik! My, this is a dense post. I'm not even sure I can follow all of the links but it's sure fun to try.

Honored to be linked in your blog and to have become a member of the 'Unholy Alliance'. Thanks much. I have done a "send-up" (as Shakespeare's Sister calls it) or "send-down" (as would seem more likely) of 'the heretik' over at my blog. Thanks again,
Yours in Swedish Lutheranism,
Neil.
