The News Writer watched the video and says this: That is exactly why progressives need to be very careful in blanket dismissal of "the media." The News Writer has ardently defended her profession all across this great Web, cautioning fellow progressives to step back from dumping the baby out with the bathwater, as is said.
But this is what we wanted. Not quite. When the media is gone, there will be nothing but competing lies vs. truth, with no one to arbitrate. Instead of advocating the end of the media, we would be better suited to working to change it to what it should be.
